The preserve operates guided safari tours in open-air vehicles, making it one of the most distinctive group outing options in Sonoma County for school trips, birthday parties, corporate team-building days, and family reunions. The access road on Porter Creek is narrow and winding, and Safari West limits oversized vehicles to a drop-off area outside the main entrance gate — so your charter bus drops the group there and arranges a return pickup time.
The preserve is closed Mondays and Tuesdays; guided tour reservations are required for groups.
